This executive rental home is nestled in the picturesque Cedar Valley. It feature full log walls for that warm and cozy log cabin comfort. It is a stress free 30 minute drive to central Cedar Rapids, with only 3 stop signs the whole trip. A four wheel drive vehicle would be highly recommended though, as this is a very hilly and remote area.

The main level is 2800 square feet with 3 bedrooms, home office, utility room/bathroom, sunroom and master bath. The main room is the living room, dining room and kitchen, giving excellent entertainment possiblities. The full stone fireplace features blowers to recoup heat as well as giving a warm ambience. The floors in the space is hardwood hickory and also has a stone floor around the fireplace continuing behind the fireplace into the foyer. The kitchen is updated with tall hickory cabinetry, featuring a built-in gas cooktop, 2 dishwashers, 2 convection/microwave ovens, refrigerator with in door icemaker and water, acrylic sink with drainboard, appliance garage, wine glass rack and much storage space.

The home office features high speed internet via Wild Blue which is included with the rent. The sunroom is 800 square feet, all tiled with fold-down windows, and is wonderful for breakfast in the morning. The deck extends above the driveway and is great for entertaining. The utility room is on this same floor and has a door to the sunroom. It features sink, stool and shower as well as storage for cleaning supplies. The master bath has a very large Juccuzi tub, with heater and 1 1/2 hp motor for strong jet action. The sink has a builtin vanity with a foldup vanity mirror, which when not in use, hides all the vanity items such as blow dryer and morning ritual items.

The master bedroom is very large with a sliding glass door to the outside and a king sized bed fits nicely in this space. The warm log walls makes for cozy sleeping. The 2 other bedrooms accommodate queen sized beds nicely, or can make nice hobby or library spaces.

The top of the stairs a 15 foot long pantry feature lots of cupboard space for a lot of items. The stairs are covered in a weather resistant carpet that helps keep tracking in a debris at a minimum. The garage is downstairs and is naturally warm in the winter and cool in the summer-a nice touch when it is raining or snowing. The snow is all melted off the cars by morning. There is a whole house vacuum system, with the main unit in the garage. It can be used for cleaning a car, as well as the workshop and other areas. The basement features a large workshop with rolling workbench and wall benches. There is more storage in a back room and the main basement room. These areas are very nice for the hobbyist. There is a pet door in the garage for allow for pets to come and go as they please. There is a full fence around the 47 acres with a front gate that is openable from a remote. This is also great for pets.

This home is very secluded and this is most obvious at night when the stars are very bright with no light pollution in the area. This is a great place to get away from it all.

The owner lives in a caretaker house on the property and will be doing all the mowing and outside work and shares the yard. This is a plus if you like to travel, as the house will be cared for while gone. Otherwise, the owner is very private and will not interfer with the renters privacy. Pets are ok and if you would like a "farm" animal as a pet-that is negotiable as well. There is horse boarding available on the property and there may be other horses on site as well. If you keep a horse on site, there is a horse trailer and truck available for transportation. The community is very horse friendly and also is great for running or walking, especially along the river. There are very few homes out in this area and the few that are here, the residents have been here over 20 years.
